After the record-breaking success of the 2024 WNBA season, everybody expected the 2025 season to reach even bigger heights. With the 2024 draft class entering their sophomore season, they were expected to lead the league to exponential growth. While the league’s viewership has grown, the superstars from the 2024 rookie class have had a struggling season. Caitlin Clark has only been able to play in 13 games this season. And now, her biggest rival, Angel Reese, is also expected to miss even more time with injuries.
Angel Reese was on a tear after overcoming some sophomore season jitters early in the season. However, a niggling back injury has kept her out for the past few games. There was hope that she could be back for the game against the Connecticut Sun. But, according to recent reports, Angel Reese has been ruled out for the game.
