Caitlin Clark Goes Viral for New ‘Freddy Fever’ Look Against Wings

Mascots play a big role in making game days more fun, boosting team spirit, and bringing fans together. The Golden State Valkyries even threw a Birdwatchers Night at Chase Center to introduce their new mascot, Violet the raven. So these lucky charms do matter, and Caitlin Clark is here for it, even though no one seems quite sure what kind of creature Freddie really is!

During her rookie season, Clark revealed how she made a new friend at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. “There’s a mini Freddie; I like mini Freddie,” Clark told reporters. “Mini Freddie just shows up randomly every 10 games. It’s like, you never know when he might show up. And then, mini Freddie is suddenly on the court for a game.”

Is Freddy Fever a porcupine, a bird, a dragon, a germ, or maybe an inferno disguised as a deranged tomato? No one really knows! The lovable and huggable mascot’s true identity is still a mystery. But tonight, against the Dallas Wings, Caitlin Clark brought all the attention back to the mascot by rocking a Freddie Fever shirt as she showed up at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

That has sent fans into a frenzy, and social media has been filled with comments reacting to Clark wearing the mascot merch. “CAITLIN IS IN A FREDDY FEVER SHIRT she is not real,” one of them observed.

(This is a developing news…)
