Lesser Known Dynamic Between Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler Revealed as Family Member Comes Forward in Warriors Star’s Defense

In the four games that Jimmy Butler has been part of the Golden State Warriors, he’s had a pleasant experience. The former Heat star had played a pivotal role in them being 3-2 in such games. Furthermore, he has seamlessly transitioned into playing besides Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. “I get the easy job,” he says. But there might be another reason too.

At least that’s what Curry’s sister Sydel Curry suspects. During her podcast with Sparks’ she spoke about the Butler trade. Like anybody, she treats it as “big” news. But her worry was about the personalities on the team. Notably, both Draymond Green and Butler are vocal and loud characters. Stephen Curry on the other hand keeps his cool.

Sydel Curry isn’t aware much about the connection between zodiac signs, but she still drew a parallel. “We got two Pisces and a Virgo in the locker room. And I will be the first to tell you that I am not kept abreast on the specifics of signs… I just found out recently that my brother is a Pisces and I’ve known him for 30 years, so. We’re all learning something together,” she said on Straight to Cam.

Well, there’s a portion of people who do believe certain zodiac signs are accustomed to each other. In the case of Butler who is a Virgo and Curry, a Pisces, their signs can complement one another. According to Cosmopolitan, “A Virgo/Pisces friendship can be a transformative one—each person provides what the other is lacking”.

Not to make a series connection, but in his short time with the Chef, Jimmy Butler too sees their on-court dynamic to be somewhat similar. “Opposites attract in life. I don’t think I could be a better complement to him and vice versa” said the six-time All-Star in a basketball sense.

However you might see it, thus far, the partnership is flourishing in the Bay. Jimmy Butler’s toughness and ability to get to the line have kept the Warriors close in all games. Hence, even though unaware, Sydel Curry may just be right!

Sydel Curry defends brother Stephen Curry for his leadership

Speaking of personalities, it’s accepted within the Warriors locker room that the leader is Draymond Green. The defensive tank is vocal, constantly commanding his teammates. Furthermore, his encouragement and motivation for the younger players is extremely beneficial as it prepares them for the big stages.

But on the other hand is Stephen Curry, largely seen to be silent and focused. Several analysts have pinned him for his dim voice. However, Sydel Curry doesn’t think leadership can only be shown by one’s voice.

“But I actually really hate the slander that Stephen gets online when people are like, he needs to be this kind of leader… I don’t think a bad leader gets four rings,” she said. “Every team that’s been successful and that’s won multiple championships and stuff like that, they have someone in the locker room, whether they’re playing 30 minutes a game or they’re playing zero minutes a game, that is very level-headed, can bring the team together, refocus everyone on the main goal, which I think is what Stephen does,” Curry concluded.

His god-sister godsister argues that it’s not the star player’s or any professional’s job to ‘babysit’. To a great extent, that’s true. Stephen Curry might not be the loudest. However, actions speak far louder than words do. No matter the situation, it’s rare to see Curry’s shoulders down. When on the floor, he’s constantly running, taking shots despite his difficulties, and setting the precedent for his teammates.

Furthermore, behind the scenes, his work ethic has garnered great praise. Such things go a long way in leading a team and setting a culture. And without Stephen Curry, the championship DNA the Warriors boast may have never existed.
