Angel Reese Has Simple 4-Word Response to Her Stylish All-Black Chanel Outfit Before Minnesota Game

Angel Reese is the nickname for being bold. “Of course, I like to do everything big,” she once said in Vogue, no less. She has already appeared on the cover of a premier magazine while still being a college player and remains the only women’s basketball player to do so. The criticism? Brushed aside with just seven words, “It’s always been both: basketball and fashion.”Since then, she has stayed true to her brand, on and off the court. Reese has been in the thick of things, being fearless and grabbing more boards than any other player while making significant contributions in other aspects. Off the court, Angel Reese is having a breakthrough moment.

She recently became just the fifth WNBA athlete to land on the cover of NBA 2K25, and she did it wearing her very own signature shoe. But her dominance isn’t limited to video games. Since turning pro, Reese has consistently turned heads as red carpet royalty, from a show-stopping debut at the Met Gala to being crowned “Best Dressed” at the 2025 WNBA Draft by Cosmopolitan.

And now, she’s taking her fashion reign a step further with her bold look just before their rematch against the Minnesota Lynx yesterday. On Monday, Reese delivered a head-to-toe all-black masterclass in style. She layered an oversized blazer over a sleek black mini skirt, then dialed up the sophistication with sheer black tights and pointed stiletto heels.

Committed to the monochrome mood, she finished the look with black leather gloves, a headscarf, dark sunglasses, and a luxe black Birkin bag—an outfit that screamed elegance with edge. Despite the loss, Reese is unfazed, looking forward as she posted that cold outfit with the caption, “you see the material.” The franchise was quick to comment, “BIG STEPPAAAAA”

This isn’t her first time commanding attention in all black. At the 2025 Met Gala, fittingly themed “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, Reese stunned in a sleek Thom Browne design, a feminine twist on the classic suit, elevated with layers of Graff diamonds. Fans were floored then, and she brought that same energy courtside with her latest tunnel slay.

While some fans may joke that Reese wore all black to her own funeral, it is her unwavering confidence that makes her who she is. Without that confidence, Angel Reese is not Angel Reese. While the team is struggling, she had another one of her double-double games, scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists, resulting in her 15th double-double of the season and the 9th consecutive time she’s accomplished such a feat. Her individual performance has mirrored her fashion as they both go hand in hand for her.

Reese Shows Unwavering Confidence Even After Loss

Come what may, Angel Reese is always positive. Even after heavy losses, she backs herself to get the wins. She had a pretty bad sophomore slump when the season started, coupled with some embarrassing highlight reels. That 30-second clip of her missing her own shot while getting those rebounds made a few rounds, after which the term MeBounds became popular. And what did she do? She took the troll with a stride and crafted a merchandise line, the proceeds of which are going towards the Angel C. Reese Foundation to “help fight against cyberbullying.”

So even after they suffered a heavy loss to the Minnesota Lynx, she insisted that the previous win was not just a one-off performance. “They [the Lynx] didn’t run any special sets. It was turnovers, not boxing out, not fouling, getting back on defense,” Reese said,“We know we can beat the best. It wasn’t a fluke the other night.”

The last time they won, Reese and Co. dominated the boards, getting almost twice that of the Lynx. This time, they were matched with a slender lead towards the Sky. Their turnover woes continued with 19 as opposed to the Lynx’s 12.  They also conceded 19 fastbreak points, signaling the lack of defensive discipline, as Reese pointed out. But they have had a similar problem all season as they have conceded 14.4 points on average, which is the worst in the league. This lack of urgency has cost them multiple games. Reese has recognised that, but doesn’t doubt their ability to be on top if they are at their best.

Angel Reese continues to be the heartbeat of the Chicago Sky, an unrelenting force whose presence commands attention both on the court and off. Whether it’s battling on the boards or owning every fashion moment, she embodies resilience, style, and leadership. Even in defeat, her message is clear: setbacks don’t define her, they fuel her.
