Jackson came up on Instagram a couple of hours ago to drop a bombshell on his die-hard fans who like everything, including his hair! But a few hours ago, on Tuesday, Lamar posted a video of his long, curly hair with a sticker of Scissor on Instagram stories. The overlay text on the video goes like, “Before the .” Looks like your favorite QB is gonna be in a different ‘avatar’ this offseason.

But as Lamar Jackson is preparing for the offseason every other way, the Ravens organization has surprised Baltimore fans by showing interest in one of the most unfulfilled quarterbacks in the league. How and why? To learn more, let’s dive in!
Lamar Jackson’s Ravens interest in Justin Fields
It would look like a nonsensical thing to anybody when the Ravens are looking for a quarterback when Lamar Jackson is knocking out everyone. But it’s crucial to have a great backup quarterback for the Ravens and that’s why the franchise is looking forward to signing Justin Fields, who is set to hit free agency. Justin Fields did alright as a starting quarterback for the Steelers at the start of the 2024 season but was unfortunately second fiddle to a fit Russell Wilson. At the Ravens, he’d have to look at reprising that very role.
According to NFL reporter Tyler Brooke, “While Fields would likely never see the field, he’d have an opportunity to work side by side with arguably the best quarterback in the NFL right now.” This is one of the reasons. But more importantly, Josh Johnson, the Ravens’ backup QB, is not expected to continue in the NFL as the 38-year-old could be retiring this offseason.

To talk more about Justin Fields’ future with the Ravens, the reporter has said, “It’s unlikely that Fields would be interested in a long-term deal, but if the market is cold, then another one-year deal in Baltimore could be a beneficial long-term play.” Justin Fields had signed a $18,871,957 four-year rookie deal with the Chicago Bears. But after parting ways with the organization he landed in Pittsburgh for a year as a free agent. And it’s more likely now that he will sign as a free agent for the upcoming season too.
So, the upcoming NFL season has started taking shape through the offseason. After March 13, 2025, the picture of free agency will get clearer. And it would be exciting to see if Lamar Jackson and Justin Fields share practice sessions in the offseason.
