Tiger Woods’s contribution to the future of golf
Many fans might be aware that the Genesis Invitational has given many young golfers their first PGA Tour starts. Through the Charlie Sifford Memorial Exemption, Tiger Woods celebrates diversity in golf by offering an exemption to an impactful golfer in the Signature event every year. In 2025, Woods invited Danny List to participate in the Genesis Invitational 2025. Interestingly, the Australian had also received his DP World Tour card back in January 2025.
For those who aren’t aware, Charlie Sifford was one of the most influential golfers in the history of the sport. He was the first African American golfer to play on the PGA Tour.
