Ellen Melson is Kershaw’s high school girlfriend. Their love story began in their teenage years at Dallas’s Highland Park High School. After nearly seven years of dating, the high school sweethearts tied the knot on December 4, 2010.

The family has since grown to include four children: daughter Cali Ann (born January 23, 2015), sons Charley Clayton (born November 19, 2016), Cooper Ellis (born January 2020), and Chance James (born December 2021). The couple is now excited for another new member to join in.

It’s not the first time that we have seen Kershaw talking about parenthood. When he became a father for the first time back in 2015, he shared his journey while talking to ESPN. When asked if anything changed in the field after the birth of her daughter, Cali Ann, He replied, ” I don’t think it’s changed much on the field because when I come [to the ballpark], it’s the same. ”

It’s been years since then, and Kershaw is still shining on the mound. Recently against the Giants, he won over the Dodgerland again with his blistering performance.

Return of the yardbird: Kershaw shines vs Giants

Kershaw pitched seven excellent innings against the Giants, giving up only three hits and one walk while striking out five. It helped the Dodgers beat the Giants 11–5, putting them in first place in the NL West.

Kershaw, who is now 37, underwent knee and foot surgery during the offseason and missed the first 45 games of the year. He struggled to regain his rhythm at the start of the season. But against the Giants, he looked every bit the seasoned ace, reminding fans why he is still a key player for LA.

This performance raised his record versus San Francisco to an impressive 27–16 with a 2.00 ERA. It also got him within 12 strikeouts of 3,000 career SOs, which is another personal record on an already remarkable stat-sheet. His teammate Blake Snell acknowledged the remarkable feat.

Snell, who just came back from the injured list, posted an Instagram story with Kershaw’s numbers. “You Nasty,” he wrote. Fair to say it was a really special outing for Kershaw. All around!
