LaMelo Ball Send Cryptic Message on Social Media Following NBA All-Star Snub as Adam Silver Confirms Final Injury Replacement

2 min read

There isn’t a single season where a potential All-Star wasn’t snubbed. This season, it seemed to be Charlotte Hornets’s ace point guard, LaMelo Ball’s turn. Even though he had an injury-riddled season, missing 22 games, this has been his healthiest season in the last three years. So, it’s quite a surprise for many in the NBA world for him not to make it despite the flurry of votes. Moreover, the star had a second chance as well after Giannis Antetokounmpo’s calf injury. But it didn’t make any difference.

It’s truly a frustrating moment for anyone and it’s hard not to react. Guess what? Ball had his own way of retaliating against the snub.

As per the league’s framework, the Commissioner Adam Silver has the authority to name the replacement for any injured All-Star player on the roster. Yesterday after the Bucks announced that the Greek Freak wouldn’t participate in the event, everyone eagerly anticipated his replacement. There were plenty of potential talents in the Eastern Conference that deserved a spot in the prestigious roster. To name a few: Tyrese Haliburton, Tyrese Maxey, Jarrett Allen, Zach LaVine, and De’Aaron Fox.

So, picking anyone from the mix would definitely upset the others and Silver selected Trae Young. Not that he wasn’t deserving but LaMelo Ball doesn’t seem too happy with the decision. Hours after the announcement, the guard had an unusual reaction. Ball took to his IG stories, posted a video of the Hornets’ court with a ton of demon emoji all over the screen and most importantly, he added a layer of ‘F–k Da Industry‘ by NBA Youngboy playing in the background. Hmm… It does seem like a retalliation although we’re not sure.

LaMelo Ball took to Instagram right now & posted a ton of purple demon emojis with “F**k Da Industry” by NBA Youngboy playing.

Earlier this morning, it was announced Trae Young will be an All-Star over him to replace Giannis.
