Francis Ngannou Takes Encouragement From Mike Tyson’s Words as “Serious Medical Error” After Fatal Accident Costs a Life

2 min read

Francis Ngannou has had a really tough couple of life events, which may have broken an ordinary man. After losing his 15-month-old son Kobe in 2024, ‘The Predator’ found himself in another troubling situation when a 17-year-old girl in Cameroon reportedly got into a critical medical state after getting hit by Ngannou’s motorcycle. The former UFC and current PFL champion tried to help her and pay the medical bills, but she could not recover and passed away.

In the wake of such troubling incidents, Francis Ngannou has shared a message for the first time since the news of the accident in Cameroon surfaced in the news. He seemed a bit dejected, given how many tough situations he’s been through, and recalled what Mike Tyson told him about dealing with life. “Life’s difficult paths can sometimes be disturbing,” Ngannou wrote on Instagram.

“As [Mike Tyson] once said, ‘When you’re favored by God, you’re also favored by the devil, but remember that God is the one who brings you to the dance,’” Ngannou added. “The harder you fight to stay up, the harder life fights to take you down.”
