Remember last month when Shaquille O’Neal went viral again, this time for leaving the TNT show mid-broadcast? At the time, Inside the NBA was discussing the disruptive performance of Kawhi Leonard’s game 2 in Round 1 of the Playoffs. Instead, the talking point became Shaq awkwardly running away, which later raised questions about his blader control. His co-host and social media absolutely trolled him about the issue, and it seems he was very good at hiding his real problem.
He lied not only on his podcast and on the next episode of the Inside Show, but also during the recent filming of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The host asked him what the issue was, and Shaq nonchalantly said, “So I know I had the number-two run, but it was really a number one.” Later, he added that his changed diet of drinking Olive Oil contributed to him running away to the bathroom. “That’s what it said on Instagram. Said if you drink olive oil for 14 days, it clears stuff out, gets you a flat stomach. So I was trying it.”
But Shaquille O’Neal couldn’t hide the truth anymore. “You know what? I just made a mistake. I lied to you on national TV. It wasn’t a number-one run. It was a number-two run.” The audience and the host erupted laughing as they couldn’t believe what the NBA icon confessed on national television. He continued, “I had to go bad. Oh, I had to go so bad.”
This is a developing story…
