Aaron Judge Accused of Faking Juan Soto Friendship as WFAN Host Questions Their Bond: “Different Kind of Guys”

4 min read

Remember last year when Juan Soto was lighting up the plate with Aaron Judge batting right behind him? The duo was electric! Soto set the table, and Aaron Judge cleared it with authority. With both sluggers locked in and feeding off each other’s momentum, the Yankees were tearing through the league like a team destined for October glory. But times change…

Fast forward to the present: Judge is still doing Judge things, crushing baseballs and leading by example. But for Soto, the story has taken a very different turn. A new team, a new clubhouse, and a rhythm he’s still searching for. You already know that the transition hasn’t been smooth, and different kinds of whispers around the league have started to grow louder.

And now, the chemistry that once sparked so brightly between Judge and Soto is getting suspected to be flickering. According to one insider, the bond between the two might not be as solid as it once appeared!

“I guarantee you, Judge does not rock with this guy. Their philosophies are just different, they’re just different kinds of guys,”  New York radio host Keith McPherson shared.

Well, Aaron Judge and Juan Soto might be from opposite poles. While Judge is more about the team loyalty and leading the clubhouse, Soto is about money! You offer the highest, and Soto can be a part of any of the 30 teams in the league. Do the same with Aaron Judge, and you will be snubbed. So, McPherson sounded skeptical about the vibration between these two stars.

“But because it was national television and it became a story, Judge went and, you know, talked to him,” he added. True that after the 8-2 win over the Mets on Sunday, Judge knew the national media’s focus would be on both of them. So, as per McPherson, Judge might have chosen diplomacy over creating a scene.

Well, Aaron Judge hates controversy and doesn’t want to be in the spotlight for the wrong reasons. It has been clear for all these months of discussions and rumors after Soto went for blue and orange. Aaron Judge has stayed diplomatic without taking a dig at Soto. And that’s the typical Judge we know. So, it is not unexpected that he again showed an olive branch to Soto.

While this conversation might stay alive about whether these two faces of New York actually vibe together or not, we surely hope that things remain the same and professional, no matter what…

Soto and Judge surely got a bond to talk about

Remember when Soto shared the news that Aaron Judge was the first to call him after he decided to join the Mets?

Just when the MLB community was well abuzz with Juan Soto signing a record-breaking deal, Aaron Judge showed what a true friend looks like. And Aaron Judge even acknowledged that the Yankees fans may feel stung for some time by Soto’s decision.

But he remains on good terms with his former teammate and holds deep respect for Soto’s choice. The former has been candid about their time together, noting that he learned a great deal from hitting behind Soto in the lineup.

This Sunday, Judge revealed that he wished the best of luck to Soto. “Just kind of wishing him the best, kind of said, ‘Hey man, you’re the best in the game. Things like this are gonna happen, just keep playing your game.’” Well, if not anything, that definitely showed respect…

So far, the Soto-Judge friendship has proved to be immune to any on-field controversies. While we cannot shake off what our radio host said, we still hope for the positive vibes to continue…
