Do you remember how Geno Auriemma dropped a few takes about Caitlin Clark back in 2024? Per him, CC talks a lot of s–t on the court being the reason why WNBA was basically ‘beating up’ on Clark in her rookie season. This came after Geno’s comment about her being ‘targeted.’ So, while he did eventually say her trash talk might be why she’s getting ‘targeted,’ the fact that he didn’t lead with that had a bunch of fans thinking he played into the victim narrative a little too much. Well, that whole ‘victim’ situation has come full circle…only this time, Geno’s on the receiving end. But in a hilarious way.
On May 15, Sports Illustrated dropped a fun little video where Clark and her Indiana Fever teammates answered questions about each other. When the topic shifted to what kind of coach Kelsey Mitchell would be, CC kept it sweet, calling her “chill.” But Aliyah Boston didn’t hold back.
She threw a playful jab at Geno Auriemma, saying, “You might not Geno, but you don’t get up in their grill.” That was aimed right at the UConn coach. And then came Kelsey with the finisher: “Geno disciplines, but he has a ‘uhh’... I don’t have a ‘uhh.’” Basically calling out Geno’s fiery, sometimes intense coaching vibe.

Throughout the whole conversation, while DeWanna Bonner was just cracking up, totally vibing with Boston’s comment, CC just sat there, all smiles, watching it unfold like a quiet spectator.
Developing Story….
