The last time Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce entered the Doha Diamond League, it was the world of 2021. In the next four years, the track has seen so many things, witnessed the rise of so many athletes, but her position has still remained the same- the legend in track sports. However, in May 2025, Shelly-Ann is up again to compete in the women’s 100m, the event that has been seeing her for the last two decades. She is not bothered about the challenges and she eyes a phenomenal return in the Doha Diamond League. So, before competing in the actual race, she let the realm know that she is still here.
On May 15, in the pre-meet press conference, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce made a promise. She said, “I really want to get back into that race sharpness. I really want to get back into some competitive races.” Furthermore, she conceded, “I’m really looking forward to see, you know, just the execution and really, you know, just working on putting the race together tomorrow, and I think tomorrow is going to be special, and I’m really excited about that.”
“In terms of training, this has been my best year by far for three years”
