Three-time Super Bowl champ, ten-time pro bowler, but those are just Travis Kelce’s accolades in the NFL. Ever since he was a kid, Travis Kelce has been a troublemaker. He would get lost, play pranks on his friends and parents. Growing up, he’s not just Taylor Swift’s bae. Did you know he’s got amazing moves as a dancer, too? Even Justin Timberlake had recently called himself a backup dancer for Travis. That’s how good this guy is. So what happens when Travis shows up to the legendary Gronk Beach party? Well, of course, a dance off.
On an IG reel shared by the Dudes on Dudes podcast page, Rob Gronkowski remembered a party where he was defeated by the legend that is Travis Kelce. Back when the NFL drafts were held in the Silver City in 2022, Travis Kelce and Rob Gronkowski had a dance-off. And it wasn’t just any dance-off. Gronk started, “Draft was in Vegas. He came up to Gronk Beach,” and then went on to say how “hammered” he was. Julian Edelman even climbed on Gronk’s back, but Gronk “didn’t even feel it”. Now cue the music, the hero’s about to enter. “And all of a sudden, Killa Trav shows up, and we’re having a dance-off on the stage.” Gronk referenced Travis’ IG handle (@killatrav) and went on, “I can dance – like they’re my own dance moves, but he can for real dance. Because like we said, he’s fluid.”
Gronk even admits, “I got too muscular, man. I just never worked out,” which is why he lost the dance-off. This dance-off remains one of the most iconic NFL star competitions to this day. And that’s the story of how Travis Kelce defeated Rob Gronkowski. We are all used to seeing Travis’ iconic TD celebration dances on the gridiron, but this is a whole new level, and he’s a pro at this, too. And we have to wonder what more surprises this guy can throw at us.

When the Chiefs lost to the Eagles last Super Bowl, a lot of rumors had swirled around Travis Kelce’s possible retirement. He’s about to be 35 this October, and a lot of people believed his NFL career was drawing to a close. He shut the rumors down. And the team has also hinted a bigger change in his role this year. GM Brett Veach has dropped some hints about this recently. Veach has reportedly said, “You’ll see Travis have a bigger impact – It may not be in production, but in the offense (overall), which is very different from the past, when it always relied on Kelce.”

While fans ponder what this cryptic statement means, it’s also notable that he recently dropped 25 pounds. He’s preparing for something that could very well lead to the Chiefs’ comeback this new season. And maybe the new role Veach hinted at has something to do with this too. And he’s not just working to make a mark on the gridiron. His podcast with Jason Kelce, New Heights, has been gaining steady popularity.
