They start this year with high expectations. The City of Philadelphia wants them to retain the trophy. According to the leaked NFL schedule accessed by Ozzy, the Birds will open their campaign on September 4, 2025 against Dallas Cowboys. So, it will be America’s Team vs the Super Bowl champions.

One of the NFL’s most storied rivalries, this classic divide dates back to 1960. As we are in the 2025 off-season, the Cowboys have won more games with a 74–58 record. They have won more in the postseason, too, with a 3–1 record. Between 2020 and 2024, the teams have proved to be equal match, with each side winning five games. However, the Eagles dominated the Cowboys in the two matchups during the 2024 season, winning 34–6 in week 10 and 41–7 in week 17.
