The Green Bay did great while hosting the 2025 NFL Draft, as Cheeseheads saw their team, as well as rest 31 teams selecting some solid players in the event. Now, what about the upcoming years? Well, as per reports, the 2026 NFL draft is slated to be held in the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. And for 2027? Magic Johnson’s Commanders will finally get their time to cheer even louder.

This is because, on May 5, the NFL announced the location of the 2027 NFL Draft – Washington, D.C., on the National Mall. Hence, thanking Roger Goodell and the league, Magic Johnson took to X, and said, “I want to thank NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and the entire National Football League for awarding Washington, D.C., the 2027 NFL Draft. Roger and I have been friends for over 25 years, and I’m excited that the Draft will generate a lot of revenue for the city and create so many jobs! Hosting the NFL Draft means so much to Washington D.C. and all of our fans from around the DMV!

For context, the Commanders are finally coming home. They’re heading back to the old RFK site, but this time, they’re not just bringing the game. They’re bringing change. Magic Johnson’s team is rewriting 180 acres along the Anacostia River. A $3.7 billion plan is in motion, with a big stadium. So, the Draft Day of 2027 may see Washington hosting in this renovated adobe.
