Brian Hartline’s Quintuple NFL Jackpot Helps Ryan Day Land USC & Oregon Target

2 min read

Ryan Day‘s 2025 roster is getting better and better with each passing day. It looks jam-packed with talent, enough to carry on their successes from last year. The HC has lost players to the NFL, but he’s also gaining on a key talent that can help boost the WR room significantly. His addition is also testament to WR coach Brian Hartline‘s success in shaping great players, who scored another feat in this year’s draft.

Four-star WR Kayden Dixon-Wyatt announced his commitment to Ohio State, which was a prime target for USC and Oregon as well. A 4-star prospect out of Mater Dei, the WR comes with a total of 1260 yards and 11 touchdowns. He will be joining teammate Chris Henry Jr., too, who committed to the program recently as well. The arrival of the duo finally breaks the Mater Dei drought at OSU. He was pursued by Hartline right from 2024, in a campaign that finally bore its result.

Hartline has a personal victory at OSU, too. With Emeka Egbuka going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at No. 19, he becomes the coach’s 5th such player to go as a first-round pick in drafts. The other four are Garrett Wilson, Jaxon-Smith Njigba, Marvin Harrison Jr., and Chris Olave. Hartline already has Jeremiah Smith in development as well. Can he look to be Hartline’s 6th success in the draft?
