Brooks Koepka has his feet in two boats. The five-time major champion has been the subject of speculation about his future after Fred Couples suggested he wants to return to the PGA Tour, but Koepka insists he’ll fulfill his LIV Golf contract, which runs through 2026 and is reportedly worth over $100m. Koepka confirmed he texted Couples after the comments, but they didn’t discuss future plans in detail. “Everybody seems to have their own opinion and no one asks me,” Koepka said, adding he’s focused on improving his game, particularly in majors, after a slow start to 2025 and a “down year” in 2024. Koepka leads LIV in career victories but currently sits 22nd in individual standings, and his team, Smash GC, is last among 13 teams. In the 2025 Masters, however, Koepka struggled with the competition and ended up missing the cut. With the first major of the season already completed, Koepka knows he needs to step up his performance.
Besides the Okeeheelee Kid, another LIV pro’s contract details are also coming forward, and it is not what anyone was expecting. Per the latest tweet by Fried Egg Golf, Jon Rahm’s contract extends longer than his star colleagues, locking him in. The reason? Well, it all comes down to one thing: Happiness.“While other LIV player contracts are soon to expire and bring some level of freedom, Jon Rahm is locked up longer than his star colleagues. Personally, he may be the happiest he has ever been.”
Well, Rahm has expressed his satisfaction with the Saudi-backed league in 2024, saying there’s “zero validity” to reports that he’s regretting his decision to join LIV Golf. “I don’t know why they feel the need to say that some of us are unhappy when we’re not,” Rahm added, expressing frustration over the claims.
“Competitively, he has not been his best over the past year at the events where we measure elite pros”, read the tweet. Well, it is true. Rahm’s 2025 season has seen him struggle to find a title, with finishes including T2 at LIV Golf Riyadh, 6th at LIV Golf Adelaide, T6 at LIV Golf Hong Kong, T5 at LIV Golf Singapore, T9 at LIV Golf Miami, and 4th at LIV Golf Mexico City. And not to mention, the missed cut at the 2025 Masters. To put into perspective, the Spaniard’s last victory came in 2024 at the LIV Golf Chicago.

Coupled with this, the uncertainty surrounding his situation persists, leaving many wondering what’s next for the talented golfer. If he excels at LIV Golf Korea this weekend, it might shift the narrative surrounding his future, and Rahm agrees.
Jon Rahm is ready to take on the players in Korea
After a frustrating Masters Tournament where he missed the cut and visibly struggled with his game, Jon Rahm is now focused on regaining his form. Speaking at the LIV Golf Korea presser, Rahm shared insights on what’s holding him back from securing a win this season. Despite being ranked second in the LIV Golf Individual standings with 94.36 points, Rahm acknowledges that small mistakes are costing him. “You have to put yourself in a position to win, which I’ve done enough and I’m getting close enough. I’m just not doing everything I need to do right,” he said. He believes a bit of luck plays a role in winning, but ultimately, he feels like he’s playing well enough to win any week.
Rahm expressed his desire to break his winless streak, hoping to claim victory at the LIV Golf Korea event. His team, Legion XIII, is doing great with two wins, and Rahm is eager to see a close race continue. With Joaquin Niemann currently leading the Individual Championship standings after winning three of the first six LIV Golf events, Rahm is hot on his heels. “Sometimes you also need a little bit of luck in your favor — not that I haven’t been lucky. I just haven’t done myself any favors on the golf course, I would say it like that. Just enough small mistakes to put myself just a little too far to be able to win.”
Rahm’s determination to improve and capitalize on his opportunities will be key in Korea. So, do you think he can win this tournament? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below!
