Charlotte Jones’ Special Message on 60th ACM Awards as Reba McEntire to Host the Show

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’ family is so much more than football. They’re Texas royalty -loud, proud, and everywhere. And his kids, too, are not just working the sidelines or crunching playbooks. They’ve got their hands in a whole lot more. Just last month, the Jones crew was all over the papers after the grand opening of the National Medal of Honor Museum and Leadership Institute. The Jones family was personally connected to the creation of the museum, as they had donated $20 million to support its construction. Another connection is that Jerry’s daughter, Charlotte Jones, is the chairperson of the museum’s board.

Now, Charlotte’s back in the spotlight. And this time, it’s got a little country flair. She just dropped a little something on her Instagram story, and things are about to get exciting in Frisco. The Texas city is all set to host the 60th ACM Awards. And the best part? “The Queen of Country” herself, Reba McEntire, will be stepping in as host. Charlotte Jones just teased the big night on her Instagram story with a special little shoutout. “We’re ready for the 60th anniversary of the @acmawards!” she penned, sharing a snap that featured Reba rocking a Cowboys-colored jersey with ‘McEntire’ written on the back.

The Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards will return to The Star in Frisco, Texas, for the third time this year. Owned by Blue Star Land, L.P., a Jerry Jones company, the facility also serves as the world headquarters for the Dallas Cowboys. The big night kicks off on May 8, 2025. Just a week away from now.

So, with the Ford Center gearing up for another dazzling night, all eyes are now on who’s taking the stage. Safe to say, there’ll be some exciting performances by the best in country music. No shortage of big names, fan favorites, and a few surprises in the mix, too.

Countdown to May 8: ACM Awards are almost here

This year, the ACM Awards seriously leveled up by bringing Reba McEntire on board to guide us through the night. Yes, the Queen of Country herself, who’s sold over 75 million records worldwide, will be hosting the 60th edition of the show. The official Instagram page of The Star in Frisco dropped the big news on Thursday with a caption that read, “We’re just one week away from the 60th @acmawards, hosted by @Reba! Join us at Ford Center at #TheStarInFrisco on May 8 for a night of unforgettable performances and celebrations. ”

The show will kick off with a special 12-minute music segment that celebrates some of the best Songs of the Year from the past six decades. What can you expect? Well, stunning performances by Wynonna Judd, Reba McEntire, LeAnn Rimes, and Sugarland. So, you better revisit the masterpieces like Tequila, Why Not Me, Blue, and Stay, which will be blended into one beautiful medley.

The tickets for the show have gone live. It will also stream live on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel over on Twitch. So, with country legends and a night full of unforgettable moments, you would not want to miss the 60th ACM Awards. Whether you’re tuning in from home or cheering from the stands, get ready, Frisco’s about to steal the spotlight.
