After all, he is the world number one in the event, and he came to the Tom Jones Memorial after winning the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Nanjing this year. So, Trey Cunningham had to put in the world-leading time to overpower Grant in the men’s 110m hurdles event in the Tom Jones Memorial, and did he do that?

On April 19, Trey put in a world-leading 13.09 (+1.5) timing in the event to keep Grant Holloway (13.18) behind. Well, that was Grant’s outdoor opener this season. Now, he is ready to move to the Shanghai Diamond League, scheduled on May 3. Trey will not be at the meet. But opponents like Rasheed Broadbell and Hansle Parchment will be there. Well, on April 25, before the Xiamen Diamond League press conference, Grant at first gave Trey Cunningham his flowers for the victory against him in the Tom Jones Memorial. He ultimately said, “This season was to stay undefeated all the way throughout, and I fell a little bit short last week opening up at Tom Jones to Trey Cunningham, who ran an awesome race, so in a little bit of the midst of adversity.”
