We’re just there. A few hours from the 2025 NFL Draft. Imagine the career trajectories of hundreds of prospects hoping to get their name called. It must have started (for most) back in high school. Multiple years of hard work wearing your school jersey, offers from top schools, and you end up at a college. Then, another level of grind. Again, years of honing your craft, making plays, producing moments, with a hope—back to the first sentence—the hope to have your name called. Two brothers find themselves in that boat tonight. Of course, the narrative starts with their celebrated father. Deion Sanders’ sons—Shilo and Shedeur.
Every chapter of their journey so far has started with that line. Tonight, as they look to take the next step—as they move to the pros, as they leave their father behind in college football—it’s the start of a new chapter, a new story, where the first line would be NFL players Shilo and Shedeur. At this point, both the brothers are in a helpless situation. They’ve done what they could. Played out their college careers. Especially Shedeur, who has faced an avalanche of negative pieces since the NFL Combine. Both the naysayers and supporters have had their say. It’s up to the teams now. Surely, they can do something? Coach Prime found a way, and it’s the way of the almighty.
Even today, Deion Sanders consistently expresses gratitude to God for his accomplishments and does not hesitate to express his gratitude publicly. That might irk many; for instance, when the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) objected to Coach Prime influencing the college athletes with his appointment of a ‘spiritual adviser’ or even conducting prayers with the athletes. But that didn’t deter Deion Sanders, and now he is once again thanking the Almighty in a recent statement.
With the NFL draft not more than a few hours away, Deion Sanders is on the edge for his sons. In this moment, he thanked God and expressed his gratitude. “Watch God show out tonight! The same God that’s taken us from Faith to Faith, High school to High school, College to College, Glory to Glory will continue to take us to where we need to be and where He wants us to go! We’ve already WON! #Dad“.

Deion Sanders, who already has a lot of pull in the NFL franchises, must have a hint or two about where his sons, Shedeur and Shilo, might be going. But even the legends can be worried about the unpredictability of NFL drafts. The message is powerful and filled with humility in that sense.
Deion Sanders puts family first in a recent video message
Coach Prime’s family’s influence was so immense at Colorado that the head coach even took several players like Jimmy Horn Jr. under his fold and treated them like his own sons. Now, in a recent video, Deion Sanders has another message for his ‘family’ as it shows how Shilo, Shedeur, Deion Jr, Deiondra, the players, and the coaching staff were a single-family unit in Colorado.
“You think you know me? Well, I do what I do. From day one, it’s always been about them. My mama, my sister, Deiondra, Bucky, Shilo, Shedeur, and Bossy, the coaches, players? That’s family. Every move, every sacrifice, every step along the way. See the spotlight may follow me, but I put all that light into them, cause it’s never been about me. It’s always been about family.”
The video posted just 4 hours ago has already gained more than 5,000 likes on Instagram, with comments pouring in about how the Sanders family has left a deeper mark on the Buffs’ history. The video might be a sponsored post, but it still shows the bond the family carries. But now with Shedeur and Shilo going to the NFL, will we see the same videos and moments at Colorado with Coach Prime at the helm?
