As per the report from Josh Carpenter of the  Sports Business Journal, TMRW Sports co-founder & CEO Mike McCarley divulged some key information regarding TGL’s second season when he was speaking on a panel at the CAA World Congress of Sports. He attended the event along side Alexis Ohanian, who owns the Los Angeles Golf Club, one of the teams in the Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy-led simulator league.

“I’ve been bugging these guys about the LPGA deal for a minute. They have been very interested. It’s just that these things take time and I’m not allowed to make any news.” stated Alexis Ohanian. “There’s no secret we’re working on that. Alexis has been a great thought leader for us on that, and I think most of our team owners are right behind them in that area, too.” McCarley also added very briefly.

. @TGL‘s Mike McCarley said at @SBJ‘s World Congress of Sports this week that expansion would likely start with one new team, also noting that it will come from North America.

This is great news for the LPGA fans, with several key players expressing interest in TGL during the first season. It started with Nelly Korda, who watches TGL regularly and did not miss an opportunity to compare Keegan Bradley to Luigi from the Super Mario video game franchise. Rose Zhang is also a minority owner of the Bay Area Golf Club, having bought a stake in it in early January.

Megan Khang has been an active presence on the sidelines, donning all-green during one matchup of TGL to support her favorite team, Boston Common Golf. Even world No. 2 Jeeno Thitikul expressed interest in a simulator golf-like enterprise for women during the HSBC Women’s World Championship. I think it should be fun (indoor golf). Should be fun in the off-season,” the Thai golfer stated on February 26, 2025.
