The Stanley Cup Playoff tie between the Edmonton Oilers and the Los Angeles Kings began with much fanfare. The latter narrowly secured a thrilling victory, 6-5, to open their account in the playoff tie. Nonetheless, very little separates the two teams, and they will go up against each other once again later today, with the Oilers hoping to square things off and the Kings looking to strengthen their lead in the NHL’s latest battle. Ahead of the exciting game, there was some good news for the fans.

Before Game 1, the pregame festivities included the National Anthem performance by the harmonica class from the Korea-Town Senior & Community Center. While many expected some renowned stars to feature, the performance by this Korean group surprised fans. However, they were left in awe by their brilliant performance of the National Anthem.

Interestingly, there are rumors surrounding the NHL world that the same group will perform in Game 2 as well. Leaving everyone stunned with their showing, the harmonica class is believed to have declined the invitation due to rest. Indeed, it has been a crazy week for this Korean group, and it could get better in the coming weeks.

I’m hearing rumblings the Korean Women who blew the roof off Crypto dot com arena in Game 1 with their Harmonica rendition of the Star Spangled Banner were asked to return for Game 2 in LA tonight. As of this time they have declined due to rest. I’m not fucking around that’s…

However, the harmonica class’s NHL performance didn’t go down well with a section of fans, who complained that the band was disrespectful toward the national anthem. “That was torture listening to that,” one of the fans also said, as he disapproved of the band performing the national anthem again.

Even as the Oilers lost Game 1 narrowly, they are confident about a strong comeback. Ahead of Game 2, the Oilers’ head coach, Kris Knoblauch, came to his players’ defense.

NHL playoffs get an interesting turn with the Oilers’ head coach

Later today, the Oilers take on the Kings in a bid to level the scores. They didn’t do much wrong in the first game, as they narrowly lost out to a superior Kings side 6-5. After the game, the Oilers’ head coach, Kris Knoblauch, defended his players and urged them to come back stronger.

Knoblauch said, “I saw Evan give us an excellent opportunity to win tonight, made a lot of nice plays. Was his game perfect? I’m not sure anybody’s game was perfect tonight. I think Evan’s a very important part of our team. Obviously, if we’re going to have success, especially when we’re missing one of our key defensemen, especially our top four (defensemen) really have to step up.”

Meanwhile, there is still no official confirmation regarding the Harmonica Class’ NHL performance ahead of Game 2. Moreover, there were mixed fan views regarding the same, as some liked this change, whereas others rejected it. Can the Korean band perform later today and prove to be a lucky charm for the Kings?
