After Brother’s Demise in NOLA, TCU WR Jack Bech Sends Strong Message to 32 NFL Teams

4 min read

Jack Bech isn’t entering the NFL Draft alone! The TCU wide receiver, who was a Freshman All-American at LSU, is carrying his brother’s presence into the NFL Draft. Bringing his domineering 6’1″, 212-215 lbs stature and skill set, analysts believe he is a versatile possession receiver and a good fit for teams like the Rams. Known for his deep threat with 1,000-yard credentials during his senior season at TCU, he has a clear message for 32 NFL teams ahead of the 2025 Draft.

And, it’s evident, he doesn’t want to just sneak into the league. With fire in his chest and a memory of his brother in his mind, he wants every team to know it. This is what Dov Kleiman also iterated through his latest X post. The post reads, “Heartwarming: TCU WR Jack Bech is dedicating his NFL career to his late brother, Tiger Bech, who was killed in the New Year’s Day attack in New Orleans on January 1st.” The message that Jack has put forth is fairly clear. He says, “Whatever team gets me, it’s going to be a two-for-one special. Not only do you get Jack Bech, you get Tiger Bech, too.”

For Jack, his brother Tiger is his role model. In the attached clip, he mentions, “Everything… whenever I grew up, I would always want to be better than him and everything he did.” His late brother, Tiger, challenged him to grow. “Your big brother pulls out of you and sees what you can’t see in yourself quite yet.” And, his mentorship guided him to push himself to the edge, “to grow and get stronger, and just helping me be the best version of myself.”

For whatever his brother has done for him, Jack reveals that he is eternally grateful. And, in a very holistic manner, he mentions for the 32 NFL teams that he is a two-for-one deal now with his brother’s wings. He now carries a special power that sets him apart from the rest. “I have a superpower now. I have another presence about me that just can’t lose,” he mentions.

Currently, Jack Bech is projected as a 2nd or 3rd-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He rose from a late Day 3 prospect to a solid Day 2 pick after his breakout senior season at TCU. There, he recorded 1,034 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns, while earning Senior Bowl MVP honors. As per consensus rankings, it places him around the 60–65 overall range. And, with this, he’s not just chasing yards, he’s chasing something eternal.

Jack Bech copes with his brother’s loss

As most of the country was busy watching bowl games and fireworks on January 1 this year, Jack Bech was watching his world collapse. His older brother, Martin “Tiger” Bech, was among 14 people killed in a terrorist attack in New Orleans. As per reports, a man radicalized by ISIS ideology drove into a crowd on Bourbon Street and opened fire, and Tiger didn’t survive it. Just hours earlier, the brothers had spoken. Jack recalled, “He told me he loved me even more, then hung up—and that was the last thing I ever heard from him.”

Tiger was a former Princeton WR and a mentor to Jack. “He always told me I was the prototype. He believed I had the gifts he didn’t.” And, this belief is attached to Jack’s soul. His new tattoo reads, “7 to Heaven,” with Tiger’s name, birthdate, and death date. At the Senior Bowl, Jack also donned Tiger’s No. 7 jersey, where he got the game-winning touchdown, and was named MVP. So, the NFL teams are not just getting Jack. They are getting Tiger, too.
