“I Hope He Already Paid for His Grave”: Deontay Wilder’s Return Comes With a Threat Jarrell Miller Can’t Ignore

“You know how I feel about that pr–k. He’s always got excuses. Stay [your] a– home, boy. His chin is gone. He’s just always got excuses. It is what it is, man. You watch my social media, you know how I feel about him.” After Deontay Wilder’s 5th-round TKO loss to Zhilei Zhang last year, Jarrell Miller went straight for the jugular. And to be fair, the timing made sense. Deontay Wilder was at his lowest, coming off a string of brutal losses that began in 2020, with only one KO win over Robert Helenius in between. For a man who once terrorized the heavyweight division with his devastating knockout power, the fall from grace was dramatic. Retirement whispers were getting louder, and for a moment, it looked like the Bronze Bomber might actually hang up his gloves.

But just when everyone thought it was the end, Deontay Wilder has risen from the ashes. He’s now locked in to face the less-experienced Tyrrell Anthony Herndon on June 27th at Charles Koch Arena in Wichita—a return bout that feels more like a warning shot than a warm-up. The message? Death is back, and Wilder isn’t playing nice anymore. So when TMZ spotted him at LAX and brought up Miller’s trash talk, Deontay Wilder didn’t mince words. His response was terrifying.

You better respect the name Deontay Wilder

So what’s the deal? Well, Jarrell Miller’s already angling for a fight after Wilder’s comeback bout, saying he wants a piece and boldly claiming he’d “smash” Wilder. But you already know, Deontay Wilder wasn’t going to let that slide. So, how did Deontay Wilder respond? Oh, he went off. With that signature fire in his voice, he shot back, “The only thing he’s smashing is burgers.” Cold! And it only got more intense from there.

So what happens if the Deontay Wilder vs. Big Baby Miller fight actually gets made? According to Wilder, he’d be more than ready—and more than happy—to silence the noise with his fists. “Talk, talk, talk,” he said about Miller. Deontay Wilder said if that fight does happen, “I hope he [Jarrell Miller] already pay for his grave burial.” No diplomacy. Just straight threat. And if you thought he was just putting on a show for the cameras? Think again. “If I saw him today, I’ll slap the f–k out of him right now,” Wilder declared.

“I ain’t playing around with nobody. Deontay Wilder has returned fully and everybody respect the name of it,” the former WBC heavyweight champion stated. “I know a lot of motherfu–er say a lot of things on these cameras and stuff. But when they see a real one in front of them, Silence! Crickets.”

At the end of the day, whether you’re team Wilder or team Miller, one thing’s for sure. If that fight lands, it’s going to be electric. The 39-year-old is not just fighting opponents anymore. He’s fighting to reclaim his name and remind the world why they called him “The Bronze Bomber” in the first place.

Big Baby strikes again after bashing Deontay Wilder

After a draw last year with Andy Ruiz, Jarrell Miller will take on Fabio Wardley on June 7 at Portman Road Football Ground in Ipswich, courtesy of Queensberry Promotions. And with just 2 months left on the clock, Miller’s been popping up everywhere. But while the spotlight’s on Wardley, it seems Big Baby has another name on his mind…

Remember when Joe Joyce warned Miller not to go poking the bear? That bear being Anthony Joshua. Yeah, well, if Miller heard that warning, he’s clearly not losing sleep over it. Earlier this month, when a reporter casually asked what’s next after Wardley—assuming he wins, of course—the conversation took a sharp turn straight to AJ. And let’s just say Miller didn’t hold back.

According to Miller, “I heard his [Anthony Joshua’s] team say he should stay away from me at all cost.” Miller didn’t flinch. In fact, he fired right back with the kind of line only Big Baby could deliver.“If AJ, you know AJ’s the boss on his side, if he really wants to fight he’ll make a fight happen.” And then, he really let loose on AJ. “I think AJ’s such a pu–y nowadays that he don’t want to fight nobody with a heartbeat at this point.”

So yeah, along with Deontay Wilder, Jarrell Miller’s also itching to settle old beef with Anthony Joshua, 6 years after the PED scandal. Whether AJ responds or not remains to be seen. But one thing’s for sure—Miller’s not waiting around. With that said, can Deontay Wilder reclaim his former glory in the heavyweight division?
