A night like this! Yes. Perhaps, the iconic Crisler Center couldn’t believe it was witnessing such a night as it did on Saturday (April 19). But what did it witness? First, on April 19, Michigan hosted the first NCAA Men’s Gymnastics Championships final at Crisler since 2014. And second, the host claimed the title for the first time after 2014. Isn’t it something unbelievable? But there’s something more in the bag. On the same night, one of the super achievers from the gymnastics program signed off from his collegiate career, and he did it in style.
Yes. It was Paul Juda’s final night in the Michigan Wolverines gymnastics program. The 23-year-old, however, showed up in style. He collected some gems on the final night. And then he gave an emotional speech that might stay in the line for a long time. Do you want to know what he said? In a mixed zone interaction, Zuda said, “It’s hard not to think about the fact that it’s over, but as Coach Kurt Golder says, ‘The best one is the next one.’ So, good luck, freshmen.”
