It is safe to say that Bruce Pearl isn’t having a great month so far. A heart wrenching loss to Florida in the Final Four was already bad enough, but the Auburn head coach is losing several of his key players including Johni Broome. However, no one expected one particular departure.
Chad Baker-Mazara’s time at Auburn was turbulent, but the six-foot-seven wing proved just how versatile he was. In the 2024-25 season, he averaged 12.3 points, 3 rebounds, and about 3 assists per game, and really showed up in the clutch.
However, the Auburn forward just announced that he will be entering the transfer portal for the 2025-26 college season. It comes as a shock as CBM was the Tigers’ second-leading scorer, and it wasn’t even sure if he had a year of eligibility left.
(This is a developing story…)
