The Mavericks’ trade decision shook the whole trade window. While the last 48 hours had the two of the biggest trades of recent times, with less than 72 hours remaining in the trade window and the insiders on high alert. So much so, the top news breaker in the biz, Shams Charania, had to ditch his prior commitment to something big.
During his appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, the ESPN insider abruptly stopped the host in his track. He followed it up by saying “I got to go.. I got to go guys”, bringing a cheer out of the crew. A trade news was lined up for Shams to break, and he did so minutes later. According to him, “The Philadelphia 76ers are trading Caleb Martin to the Dallas Mavericks.”
