The summer of 2020 saw the arrival of a young girl in Baton Rouge. What entered as a former junior national team member is now coming out as an NCAA champion and two-time SEC champion. With a degree in interdisciplinary studies, multiple TikToks, and five years later, as Olivia Dunne’s COVID batch run gets over at LSU, the time has come for the gymnast to bid goodbye. And she does this in her style as well. How?
The social media sensation with over 5 million followers on Instagram, Dunne, took to the platform to say her goodbye to the LSU gym. She made a reel with her batch mate, Haleigh Bryant, on the trend that uses Scott Street by Phoebe Bridgers. It starts with Dunne mouthing the words, “Bye I will see you at practice tomorrow,“. The camera cuts to Bryant, where she mouths the words, “Liv this is our last practice ever.”
The scene then continues to the two of them hugging it out and then walking off funny. Olivia Dunne donned the black Nike shorts, and so did Bryant. The only difference in their attire was that the former wore an LSU tank top while Bryant had an LSU sweatshirt on. “how can this be our last practice,” captioned the LSU gymnast.
Haleigh Bryant, who is also a graduate student and enjoying her last season with the Tigers, commented, “Been a good 5 years .”
