We’ve all heard of flags on the play. But fashion flags? Oh, the fashion police throw it very fast. And this week, one got tossed at Kristin Juszczyk—wife of 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk—for what she wore to Brandon Aiyuk’s wedding. Except plot twist: it turns out it wasn’t even a flag-worthy offense.
It’s 2025, and apparently, the most dangerous route a 49ers WAG can run… is the one down the wedding aisle wearing a pastel dress. Over the weekend, Kyle Juszczyk and her wife, Kristin, were at Brandon Aiyuk’s wedding with his longtime partner, Rochelle Searight. A beautiful, private ceremony filled with close friends, NFL faces, and yes, an Instagram story that lit the comment section on fire.
Kristin shared snaps from the wedding on Instagram. She looked sharp, tailored, and, according to some internet detectives, too white. Not in tone—literally, the dress. Now, if you’re not well-versed in the cultural nuances, then you might think, ‘What’s the big deal?’
Well, it shouldn’t be, but in western weddings—especially traditional ones—there’s an unwritten rule: no woman should wear white. That color belongs to the bride. Always. It’s not just etiquette; it’s sacred. Showing up in white, even off-white, is not cool. People often see it as attention-stealing or just plain disrespectful. Some say it’s bad taste, others go full interception and call it wedding sabotage.

Kristin, who’s become a breakout name thanks to her NFL-licensed fashion label Off Season, finally stepped in to set the record straight. “I normally never respond to the internet,” she wrote on Instagram, “but guys, I would neverrrr wear white to someone’s wedding!” She explained the dress was sage green, not white—and not only that, it was a recycled look she wore to a friend’s wedding. “They helped me pick it out!” she added.

And here’s the kicker: just hours before defending herself, Kristin had posted a heartfelt message congratulating Aiyuk and Rochelle. No shade. Just love. The newlyweds even had their four-year-old son Braylon participate in the ceremony. So, on such an auspicious day, Krisitn was left dodging comments. Or rather, addressing them.
Kristin Juszczyk’s got his focus on her personal project
When life gives you internet trolls, sometimes the best play is a quick screen pass and keep it moving. That’s exactly what Kristin Juszczyk did after the whole wedding dress dust-up. She addressed the noise—confirmed the dress was sage green, not white—and then shifted right back to her own playbook. Just facts and forward motion.
But now, speaking of motion, Kristin’s next step? A full-blown surprise home renovation. Yes, a surprise. As in, she doesn’t know what color the walls will be or what stone they’re putting in the kitchen. “I’m getting a full surprise renovation,” she said. “Like, full surprise that I don’t know the color of our walls, the stone, nothing.”
Meanwhile, HGTV’s Galey Alix—aka the two-minute drill queen of home makeovers—is handling all of this. Kristin teased the big reveal on Instagram, writing, “I’m doing a FULL surprise home renovation by Galey Alix, the reveal is TOMORROW!! I’m so excited and nervous I don’t know how to function.”
While Kyle Juszczyk rode a wild offseason—briefly waived, then re-signed by the Niners—Kristin kept her foot on the gas the whole time. Her fashion brand, Off Season, has been dominating the NFL style game. So, to put it simply: Kristin’s in her zone. And maybe, she’s levelling up for the 2025 season off-field as Kyle preps for the gridiron fireworks.
