It’s game on. The draft is 10 days away. And the teams are preparing for it by hosting the players, talking about their future aspirations and dreams. One such franchise that has a legacy of past is the Patriots. Their former player Mike Vrabel has become their head coach now. While he is trying to navigate through the high-pressure draft scenario, QB Drake Maye has shown full trust on the coach. Together, they are hoping to build a lethal O-line that will demolish their rivals. It’s worth watching.
Reporter Aaron Wilson revealed on Saturday, the 12th of April, that the Arizona WR Tetairoa McMillan will visit the Patriots this week. That becomes even more interesting as the HC has said he wants a contested catch guy. The WR has pretty powerful hands and contested catch ability. That makes him a perfect option that might also suit Mike Vrabel’s coaching style.
The 6-foot4, 219 lbs athlete has been a great receiver. In 3 seasons for Arizona Wildcats, he played 37 games (33 starters) and recorded 213 receptions in 3,423 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns. So, the talent is obviously there. And other teams have also shown interest in him.

Wilson claimed that the NO Saints, Cowboys, and Panthers have also scheduled a visit with the receiver. Most teams want to get rid of their concerns before they go for him in the draft. The receiver didn’t test at this year combine. But he was present on the Wildcats Pro Day. The 4.5 seconds time for 40 yard dash was somewhat okay. Yet, he made heads swirl with one honest admission.
While discussing his football mindset, the WR revealed he didn’t watch films. He clarified, “I don’t like watching film either. I don’t ever need to watch it by myself because we go over it as a receiver group.” That’s strange as many legends have improved their game or strategies by watching the film. The GOAT Tom Brady was known to watch the film for hours. He even questioned the coach Bill Belichick about anything he noticed. It will depend on Drake Maye now as the HC tried to find a tight end as well.
Mike Vrabel interested in Penn State TE
When the Penn State TE Tyler Warren was on the field, fans noticed one thing about him. He is built strong. The defenders couldn’t run through his body. Obviously, everyone started comparing him to the Patriots legendary TE Rob Gronkowski. For the sake of comparison, Warren is 6-foot-5 256 lbs, while the Gronk was 6-foot-6 265 lbs. That’s very close.
This has also generated some interested in him, particularly of the Patriots HC Mike Vrabel. The player doesn’t mind playing for the Pats. While talking about his style with the NBC reporter Tom E. Curran, he said, “If I am on your team, I would do whatever I can to help win and help the offense be the best that it can be and play the game the right way. That’s kind of how I try and do it: play the game the way it’s meant to be played.”
He was a beast on the field while playing in college. Last year, he started all 16 games and recorded 104 receptions in 1,233 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns. His rushing game was also on point, with 26 rushes in 218 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns. So, Drake Maye could use him well if Mike Vrabel drafts him. They choose 4th in the first round and 38th in the second round. Are these two picks final? We’ll have to wait.
