Jerry Jones Confirms $6.7 Billion Franchise HC’s Role as Brian Schottenheimer Fires Strong Message to Cowboys Locker Room

2 min read

This NFL season is just one game away to conclude, and Jerry Jones dropped the final bomb. When we hear Jones’ name, what’s the first thought that comes to our mind? Of course, his decision-making for the Cowboys. Most notably, it’s hiring Brian Schottenheimer as the next head coach of the Dallas team. But here’s the catch. This time, JJ called someone to talk about the head coach hiring. Can you believe it?

“I called Pete Carroll to talk about [Brian Schottenheimer],” Jones stated after hiring the offensive coordinator as the next HC. Yep, you read that right. Just a couple of days ago, the Las Vegas Raiders announced Carroll as their next head coach. Fast forward to now and Jones came up with this statement. Looks like Carroll is handling two franchises at a time.

On the flip side, Schottenheimer opened up on modernizing the Cowboys’ offense for the next season.  “I look at some of the things we did in Seattle, but it all things start with what our players do well,” the head coach stated. “I’m a believer in cut splits, shifts, and motions to distort things, marrying our runs and passes and make those things look the same. There’s also a tempo element we’re excited to mix in.”

This is a developing story. Stay Tuned!
