3 NFL Franchises Clear Schedule for Jalen Milroe as NFL Scout Warns NFL Teams About QB’s Future

3 min read

As we stand two weeks away from the 2025 NFL Draft, teams are taking their time to sort their rosters. It also includes assessing the draft picks available, particularly those expected to go beyond the first round. One such athlete is Jalen Milroe. Amid all the drama around Cam Ward (Miami) and Shedeur Sanders (Colorado), the Crimson Tide quarterback is projected to be selected in the second round or later stages. He will be available in Wisconsin when these proceedings will take place. But the big question still looms? What’s his destination?

He is busy with traveling to different teams interested in him. It started with a trip to the Browns building on Tuesday, the 8th of April. FOX Sports NFL insider Jordan Schultz has found new information about other teams. He reported that the Giants, Seahawks, and Rams are also available in the Jalen Milroe and have visits scheduled for him. That’s interesting.

All these 3 teams have veteran signal callers who will potentially become their starters. While the NY Giants signed a 1-year $10.5 million deal with Russell Wilson, the Seahawks signed a 3-year $100 million deal with Sam Darnold and the Rams also restructured Matthew Stafford’s deal till 2026. Will the Crimson Tide QB get a chance to start in these 3 places?

Things can change quickly in an instant. And Jalen Milroe must be trying to increase his draft capital by trying to impress these coaches. That’s all he can do now. After his Pro Day last month, his coach Kalen DeBoer was all praises for his player as he said, “He can throw it to all levels of the field…the running piece speaks for itself.

While all these teams have (potential) starters in their rosters, there’s a team that is still figuring out their QB depth. They don’t have a solid QB and could be a place where the rookie might get chances. It’s the Steelers.

Is Jalen Milroe fully ready or needs time?

The HC Mike Tomlin has been at the helm of the Black and the Gold since 2008. But he has only won the trophy once in 2008, Super Bowl XLIII. Guess who was the QB then? Ben Roethlisberger! He also won Super Bowl XLI in 2006, the year before the head coach arrived there in 2007. He has struggled to develop a signal called like the legend again. Will Jalen Milroe be the one to break the jinx?

The Steelers have drafted plenty of college players in the draft. It includes Landry Jones in 2013 (4th round), Mason Rudolph in 2018 (3rd round), and Kenny Pickett in 2022 (first round). But none of them could rise to the level of their Super Bowl winner.

ESPN’s Benjamin Solak brought his point while discussing Jalen Milroe. He claimed that the Crimson Tide would be a steal for the Steelers in the 3rd round. They choose 21st in the first round and don’t have a 2nd round pick. In this scenario, the draft becomes interesting. Aaron Rodgers is also waiting in silence. If they draft him, they would need to polish him, which hasn’t been their strong point for almost a decade.

Anything can happen in the pressure moments. He could land in Pittsburg for his shot of glory.
