Jake Paul Pulls the Final Trigger as KSI Lays Bare Mike Tyson Truth

7 min read

Jake Paul and KSI? Yeah, peace was never really in their vocabulary. Despite being a business partner for Prime Hydration with Logan Paul, KSI has never had a cordial relationship with his business partner’s brother. And it all goes back to 2019 when Olajide William Olatunji aka KSI handed The Maverick a split decision loss in his pro boxing debut in 2019. That hit Logan hard. This affected Jake Paul who then vowed to get back at KSI for the loss. In fact, on an episode of BS with Jake Paul, The Problem Child got a little vulnerable. “Logan grabbed me, and he was drunk in this sprinter van,” he shared.“I could tell how badly he was emotionally hurting from the loss to KSI.” You could hear it in his voice—it mattered to him.

But when it seemed like a Jake Paul vs. KSI showdown wasn’t going to happen anytime soon because of the British YouTuber considering retirement from boxing, Jake Paul did what he could do best—moved on. And while KSI’s been flirting with retirement rumors, Jake Paul’s been out here living his best, a KSI-free life. He’s been busy making moves as a promoter for his Most Valuable Promotions, putting together the historic Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano trilogy. Not just a high-stakes fight—but an all-women’s card, a first of its kind. That’s big. But just when it seemed like Jake Paul was done with the KSI drama, KSI decided to stir the pot. He dropped a bomb out of nowhere. And he made sure the 11-1 boxer heard his verdict loud and clear.

Jake Paul blasts KSI for mocking him

Yesterday, UFC legend Demetrious Johnson had a long conversation with KSI on his YouTube channel. This came on the heels of the 31-year-old announcing that he is considering retirement from boxing. Well, as it happens, Jake Paul saw the clip too, especially the part where he spoke about him and their long-anticipated fight. Resharing the video, he captioned it as, “Fake a– fraud. You know the deal. It’s you who is running. Oh, he needs more time, Jake has more recent experience, Jake’s too heavy, oh I can’t do 10 rounds, oh oh oh. Pullout pansy.” Angry much? So what was in the video that got Jake Paul so enraged?

“Obviously, I’d love to fight Jake Paul. I’d love to fight and beat Jake Paul,” KSI said to ‘Mighty Mouse’. You could tell this has been brewing for a long time. He said that the Cleveland native has been hovering over his head like this constant entity, and KSI’s convinced he’s the better fighter. “I feel like I’m a level above him,” he added. And honestly? He just wants to prove it.

Fake ass fraud. You know the deal. It’s you who is running. Oh he needs more time, jake has more recent experience, jake’s too heavy, oh I can’t do 10 rounds, oh oh oh. Pullout pansy. https://t.co/4E4DyzOvhC

But here’s where it gets interesting. KSI thinks Jake Paul and his team are intentionally avoiding the fight. Like, they “know” it’s risky. “If they lose to me, then it’s done. Like they’re finished. Like, no one will care. That’s it,” he said. From his perspective, it’s like Nakisa(Bidarian) wants to rinse out Jake Paul as much as possible and squeeze out as much money as they can before they maybe eventually get to a fight with me.” Whether it’s Nakisa Bidarian, Jake Paul’s business partner and co-founder of MVP, or Jake Paul himself, KSI feels like they’re stalling for time, cashing in on other big names before maybe coming back around to him.

According to him, that is the reason Bidarian tried to get Jake Paul to fight Canelo Alvarez. It was also the reason Jake fought Mike Tyson. From his perspective, those fights were about money and spectacle and nothing more. “They probably know they were gonna lose [to Canelo],” he said. It’s a huge show, they make bank, and then move on. The same goes for the Mike Tyson fight. “Same for Mike Tyson. They knew they were going to win. They knew it was going to be easy. They just wanted a spectacle. They wanted to make a sh*t-ton of money.. Bro, he’s an OAP, bro. He’s not the same 18-year-old Tyson. People were betting that Mike Tyson was gonna beat Jake. I was like, ‘You guys are nuts!’” KSI explained.

At the end of the day, KSI thinks a lot of fans don’t really get boxing. They see big names and wild headlines, but they don’t understand how fighting styles, age, and other factors actually matter. Bottom line? KSI still wants the Jake Paul fight. But he’s calling out the whole system that’s keeping it from happening. However, Jake Paul was more than just angry with KSI’s insinuation. He decided to call out the Brit on his assertions again.

“13 Reasons Why?” Nah, it’s more

Just a few hours after the first post, Jake Paul took things up a notch. And yeah, he definitely came prepared. He dropped a full-blown list titled “KSI Excuse List”… and let’s just say, it wasn’t your average top 10. “Damn that list is long…,” Jake Paul captioned his X post sharing the chart with all the reasons why KSI never agreed to fight Jake Paul.

What are the reasons, you ask? “1. ALBUM 2. TOUR 3. HAS TO PROVE A-SIDE 4. HOME TURF 5. NEEDS WARM UP 6. WANTS WEMBLEY 7. BLAMES MVP 8. BLAMES NAKISA 9. BLAMES JAKE 10. RING RUST 11. ENJOYING BUILD UP TOO MUCH 12. RING SIZE 13. NEEDS A BREAK 14. SPARRING ISHOWSPEED 15. DUCKS WINNER TAKES ALL 16. DUCKS REPLACING MIKE TYSON 17. WAYNE BRIDGE (WHO?) 18. L TO COMMON COLD 19. USHER CONCERT 20. RETIREMENT.” Yeah… it was that kind of list. Savage, right? And if you’re sitting there wondering what KSI actually said about boxing, or stepping away from the ring for good, here’s the answer.

KSI revealed, “The amount of stress I’ve gone through over the past few years. Even with Misfits in general, it’s been stressful.” He didn’t say outright that he’s retiring, but he said that “I feel like I’ve aged in these two and a half years.” And in the end, “Am I going to retire? I don’t know. Am I going to fight again? I don’t know,” he confessed on his YT channel.

And it’s not just stress messing with him—his body’s taken a hit too. On X, he said, “I’ve tried my hardest but my body has legit just given up.”  He’s been sick for nearly three weeks. Flu, pounding headaches, zero energy, and he can’t taste or smell a thing. “I’m fu–ed,” he admitted laughingly. This isn’t just a guy skipping a fight—this is someone who’s seriously worn out, mentally and physically.

With that said, do you think KSI is genuinely considering retirement? Or is this just part of the buildup to finally hype a fight with Jake Paul? And with KSI dealing with physical and mental burnout, should he step back for good, or push through to give fans the fight they’ve been waiting for? Do share your thoughts with us below.
