Almost ninety percent of avid podcast listeners would have Joe Rogan‘s name in mind whenever we talk about the most popular talk show in history. Following JRE’s move to Spotify, it has ruled the charts with an iron fist, until recently. The 57-year-old has seen many competitors in the podcasting space. And with the updated rankings of the charts, he seems to have fallen down the pecking order because of an American best-selling author.
Just recently, former NFL star Jason Kelce‘s wife, Kylie Kelce, rocked the podcasting world when she overtook Rogan’s $250 million podcast to grab the No.1 spot in the charts. But that didn’t last long as JRE recaptured the top spot again. But it seems Rogan’s brainchild has once again dropped down to No.2 after Melanie Robbins‘ self-titled podcast unexpectedly rose through the ranks.

The UFC commentator has released more than a couple of thousand episodes of the JRE so it was a surprise when Kylie Kelce, who had just dropped a couple of episodes back in December 2024, surpassed him. However, the story is different when it comes to Robbins because she’s been in the podcasting game since 2022, and now, it seems like she’s getting her dues.
People find Rogan’s podcast because of the variety of guests and the variety of conversations that come with them. Similarly, people have also started to listen to Robbins’ podcast since she shares many stories that they find relatable and inspires them to do better in life. With the growing number of rivals in the podcasting scene, people thought Rogan could slide down the charts, but before this chart, he was on top, and that was all thanks to the Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg.
Mark Zuckerberg helped Joe Rogan maintain his place in the Spotify charts
When Mark Zuckerberg first appeared on the ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ on the 1863rd segment of the show, the viewership count didn’t even hit a million viewers on YouTube. But the tech titan’s most recent appearance with JRE #2255 has helped the host garner more than 8 million views, as we speak. A sharp increase, isn’t it?
Well, not only that because, before the first report of the 2025 January charts came to the fore, known figures like Mel Gibson and fellow podcaster Theo Von made their appearances as well. All the above guests helped Joe Rogan stay on top of Spotify. The fact that Mark Zuckerberg addressed so many issues that people wanted to know – from censorship policies to privacy rules. There was a lot to take in, which made the episode all the more interesting.
Well, it remains to be seen if he can come back to grab the top spot once again, which he has done many times in the past. There are a lot of options when it comes to podcasts, so do you think Joe Rogan’s show will slowly lose its status as the biggest podcast ever? Let us know what you think in the comments down below.
