Having finished its tour stops in Thailand, Singapore, and China, the 2025 Ford Championship is officially back on American soil! Being held at the Whirlwind Golf Club, the course will have a strong field of golfers swinging from March 27-30. It includes the top 19 of the 20 golfers in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings. And, so, who will it host?
The defending champion and the World No. 1 Nelly Korda. Last year, Korda won the Championship by two strokes (20-under-par 268). “Just made sure we went through the process of every shot and just played some really solid golf coming in too,” she said, taking home $300,000. This year, the prize purse includes $2.25 million with 500 CME points. With that in mind, let’s glance at the leaderboard teeing off.
The 1st round will begin on Hole 1 between Paula Reto, Xiaowen Yin, and Mariel Galdiano. Additionally, on Hole 10, we will see Fiona Xu teeing off against Gigi Stoll and Alexa Pano. Both groups will begin at the same time at 7:00 am (ET). And how about the star-studded players, you ask? Nelly Korda will tee off against Jeeno Thitikul and Patty Tavatanakit on Hole 1 at 12:39 am (ET). Similarly, Lydia Ko will be up against Ruoning Yin and Charley Hull on Hole 10 at 7:44 am (ET). Sounds cool? Now, let’s look at the rest of the groups!
