“Get Well Soon”: Warriors Community in Distress as NBA Refs Get Villainised for Stephen Curry’s Injury vs Raptors

2 min read

It’s always scary to see a player exit the court mid-game when they’re already playing through an injury. It’s double worse when it’s your team’s best player. But that’s exactly the misfortune that befell the Golden State Warriors when Stephen Curry went down with an injury against the Toronto Raptors.

You see, Steph Curry was already nursing a lower back injury as he played this game. And during one play, when he went to lay up the ball, he was body-blocked by two Raptors. Gravity did the rest as Steph landed hard on his back. He immediately grimaced as his body contorted on the floor.

Things didn’t look good as he walked back to the locker room. And a few minutes ago, the Golden State Warriors’ PR team confirmed that Steph Curry would not be returning for the remainder of tonight’s game. The reason listed was a pelvic contusion, although we don’t know about its severity.
