A few days ago, Shams Charania reported about the blockbuster multi-team trade involving the Las Vegas Aces, Los Angeles Sparks, and the Seattle Storm. The Sparks acquired the native Kelsey Plum, and the team made the official announcement today. To react to that is Magic Johnson, who is part of the team’s ownership group. After ending the last season with a league worse record of 8-32, the addition of the 2x WNBA champion adds the necessary spark.

Last year, the team added from the draft, Cameron Brink at #2 and Rickea Jackson at #4. But because of the injury to the former made it difficult for the team. Here is where Kelsey Plum’s addition makes it vital, with her importance and being a team player. Even with the Aces, the spotlight was on A’ja Wilson, but Plum was still an important cog for that franchise.
