The Warriors are on a 7 game win streak. But that wasn’t the reason to celebrate. They had another. Stephen Curry’s 37th birthday. A day after etching his name in NBA history with 4,000 career three-pointers, Steph Curry made sure the celebrations didn’t stop there. Turning 37 called for something special, so he hosted a late-night party at his place with his Warriors teammates.
The night didn’t wrap up quickly either. As ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on The Pat McAfee Show, things went well into the early hours, with Curry, Draymond Green, and Jimmy Butler outlasting everyone.
According to him, the reason was simple—elite wine. “Yeah, you know why we all stayed? Because Steph opened some incredible wine, and us three love wine the most on that team,” he admitted. “And we enjoyed all of it.”
Green went on to share that Butler even brought a massive bottle to the party. “Jimmy brought a big six-gallon one of Château Margaux,” he revealed. “Man, like, we had a time.”
Between the fine wine, top-tier food, and poker games, there was no reason to leave early. Green made sure to give credit to renowned chef Michael Mina, who has a restaurant with a Michelin star in San Francisco, “The food from Michael Mina, I mean, what’s there to leave?” Green added. “We played some poker. It was a great time.”

The Warriors veteran also gave a special shoutout to Curry and his wife, Ayesha, for hosting. “Shout out to Steph Curry, Ayesha. They were generous hosts to have us over at the house,” he said. “Yeah, that brother went deep in the cellar. So, of course, me and Jimmy … Oh yeah, he went deep into the other, and by the way, told us, ‘Yo, y’all come on. Let’s go to the cellar and pick out what we’re drinking.’ Oh man, what? Yeah, we had a field day.”
With former Defensive Player of the Year confirming Shams’ report, it’s clear Curry’s birthday celebration was nothing short of legendary. But if there’s one thing Draymond loves just as much as a good party, it’s putting on a show—whether it’s talking trash, flexing after a big defensive stop, or making sure his celebrations get as much attention as his plays.
Stephen Curry gives his critique on Draymond copying his celebration
Draymond Green couldn’t resist stealing the spotlight in the Warriors’ 97-94 win over the Knicks. Especially after he accussed Karl-Anthony Towns of ducking Jimmy after KAT missed their previous matchup reportedly due to the loss of a close one. With under 30 seconds left, he knocked down a clutch shot, then immediately broke out a move every NBA fan knows—Steph’s ‘night-night’ celebration.
Since the 2x MVP introduced the gesture in the 2022 Playoffs, it’s spread across sports, even making its way to Lionel Messi. But Green’s take? Well, this wasn’t his first attempt, and according to Curry, it was a big step up from his last one.
“I did know he’s evolved his version of it since the Minnesota game earlier in the year. He’s softened it a little bit,” Curry said postgame.
Back on December 8, Green’s ‘night-night’ looked more like chaos than celebration. After dunking over Rudy Gobert, he sprinted down the court, exaggerating the move to the point that teammate Moses Moody jokingly renamed it ‘the nightmare.’ The internet had a field day with it.

This time, though, Green toned it down. “He’s brought it down to where a pillow is supposed to really be,” Curry said with a grin. “I realized he does everything aggressive and with his whole body, so I’m giving that a solid A- effort.”
Green might never pull it off with Curry’s finesse, but he’s all about making moments bigger. Whether it’s trash talk, flexing, or celebrations, he always makes sure you notice.
