Donald Trump Shows Up as LPGA Star’s Wedding Guest While Nelly Korda, Lydia Ko Send Love & Support

For LPGA fans, Daniela Holmqvist is known as “Spider Woman.” Who could forget the 2013 incident when the Swedish golfer was bitten by an Australian redback spider during a pre-qualifying event ahead of the Tour’s opener? She proceeded to extract the venom with a tee and then proceeded to play the next 14 rounds of golf. Although she did not qualify, she earned her nickname there.

Holmqvist played golf at Tulane University initially before transferring to the University of California, Berkeley. She turned professional in 2012 and officially became a part of the LPGA Tour in 2016. Since then she has been a regular on the Tour, earning two top 10 finishes and 11 top 25 finishes during her career.

She has so far featured in one tournament so far in the 2025 LPGA season, the Founders Cup. She missed the cut there but has since then not played in any tournaments. Why is that? That could be because she was preparing for her wedding.

She got engaged to Charles Schick almost 1.5 years ago. “Yes!!! Can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with my best friend! I love you ,” wrote the delighted golfer at the time. The couple recently tied the knot in a very high-profile ceremony in Florida, which was attended by some very choice guests.

Daniela Holmqvist gets married at popular Donald Trump GC

Daniela Holmqvist’s marriage seemed something out of a fairytale. Dressed in a beautiful white dress with her husband, Charles Schick, by her side, it is very easy to see how joyous the occasion was at the Mar-a-Lago Club. To make the day better, the owner of the club showed up to support Blomqvist in her new journey.

Yes, we are talking about Donald Trump, the President of the United States. Decked in his classic blue suit and red tie, Trump was seen congratulating the lucky couple before engaging in a few choice dance moves himself. Notably, Daniela also has a close relationship with Kai and regards her as a little sister. Another person to join him was the DOGE commander, Elon Musk.

Safe to say that Holmqvist, who has been an ardent supporter of Donald Trump, having attended the presidential inauguration earlier this year before starting her LPGA season, thoroughly enjoyed having the two powerful faces at her wedding. Her wedding was also graced by many of her fellow LPGA golfers, who took to socials to send her warm messages of love.

LPGA pros celebrate Holmqvist’s wedding

Paula Creamer was in attendance and was dressed in a beautiful black gown and twinning with fellow LPGA Pro Madelene Sagstrom. Creamer attended the wedding with Shane Kennedy, her fiancé and former Minnesota Twins player. She took to Instagram to post about the celebratory occasion, stating, “What a spectacular wedding.” She also added, “Thank you for giving us an amazing reason to dress up!”

Several LPGA players commented underneath, offering wishes to the lovely couple who had tied the knot. Brittany Lincicome commented, “So pretty and beautiful wedding.” Nicole Hage, could not use words to express her emotions, so she resorted to emojis to express her excitement. Sagstrom, who was there at the Club, stated, “Beautiful Day” referring to the aesthetics of the wedding ceremony and the location. Top golfers Nelly Korda and Lydia Ko also showcased their support for the ceremony by liking the post of Paula Creamer.
