5-Star OT Jackson Cantwell Makes Big Ohio State Admission Ahead of Visits to Michigan & Miami

It looks like Ohio State is up for another win, but on the recruiting front. Well, Jackson Cantwell, the No. 1 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking, is in the thick of his recruitment process, and Ohio State just got a major boost in his considerations. As he gears up for three key unofficial visits—Miami (March 17-18), Ohio State (March 20-21), and Michigan (March 22)—Cantwell has made it clear that his trip to Columbus carries extra weight among all of them. That’s alarming news for Michigan and Miami.

Unlike Miami and Michigan, where he’s primarily evaluating coaching styles, Cantwell sees Ohio State as a major visit because it will be his first in-person meeting with Buckeyes offensive line coach Justin Frye’s replacement. And that’s Mike Bowen; as he talks about it, he says, “This is probably a big visit for me because I’ll get to meet coach Bowen and the other assistants in person for the first time. I will also get to learn about those coaches. Then watching the team practice will be instrumental to see if/when an official visit could be.”

Now, with this new advancement, Ohio State has an added advantage over the other two teams. Let’s see where Cantwell finally ends up!
