Serena Williams Embraces Pink Hues as She Stuns in Adorable Photoshoot With Olympia and Adira

“I want to be the GOAT at something else. And for me, that’s being a mom right now,” Serena Williams said while talking to People magazine back in November. After bidding adieu to the sport back in 2022, the 43-year-old hardly seems to miss the tennis court, given how much she’s “obsessed” with her daughters Olympia and Adira. Despite being a successful and busy entrepreneur, thanks to her brands like WYN Beauty and Serena Ventures, motherhood remains Serena’ top priority. The supermom misses her angels even when they are asleep. Well, yes! But what if motherhood and business come together?

Serena took to her Instagram story on Wednesday and shared a behind-the-scenes clip from a photoshoot featuring her little ones. She herself starred in it, posing in stylish pink outfits. Purpose? In case you missed it, the tennis legend has just launched her first-ever kids’ fashion collection in collaboration with Janie and Jack. And guess what? The 2025 Spring collection is inspired by her daughters. Being a longtime fan of the brand since Olympia’s birth, Williams joining it for a clothing line seems just right.

The IG story showed her in a pink outfit, matching her daughter’s, as they posed in front of the camera. She wrote, “Anything I do with my girls brings me joy, but creating this collection with them and @janieandjack has been a dream come true.” On the other hand, Janie and Jack appreciated Williams for being a part of its new line.

Now the brand itself also posted about it on Instagram tagging Serena, “Our limited-edition Janie and Jack x Serena Williams collection is finally here WHERE LOVE MEETS STYLE.” It’s also the first time that Williams, Olympia, and Adira have been featured in a fashion campaign together.

Expressing her joy about the kids’ collection, Serena said, “Every piece is designed to celebrate family, style and the special moments we share together. I poured so much love into this collection and can’t wait for families everywhere to experience it.” reported Women’s Wear Daily earlier this week.

But do you know the collection is heavily inspired by Serena’s own look from her childhood days? The crop top and tennis skirt, adorned by Olympia, are a refined version of Serena’s outfits from 1992. Speaking of the entire line, it will be available for kids up to 12 years old. Now, here comes a fun fact. There’s been a secret contribution from Olympia as well in this brand new collection. But how?

Serena Williams reveals Olympia’s design ideas for Janie and Jack’s collection

For the uninitiated, Serena Williams also studied fashion design at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale from 2000 to 2003. S by Serena was her first-ever independent clothing line, launched in 2018. Later, in 2023, she became the first athlete to receive the prestigious CFDA Fashion Award. But when it came to kids, she didn’t really have a clue.

Talking to Women’s Wear Daily, Serena Williams revealed that she didn’t have any experience in designing kids’ clothing. This was her first such project. “I was really nervous about it. They (Janie and Jack) have a wonderful team and they have a wonderful designer who was able to help me through that process. And it was cool. I’ve designed adult clothes and sportswear, but I’ve never done this,” she said. So how did it all come together?

Reflecting on a key contribution from her elder daughter Olympia, the 23-time GS winner revealed, “I actually asked her. There were some choices. When we were narrowing down the collection, I actually asked her which one she liked better. Thankfully, it was the same one I liked better.” When asked why she chose to go with pink color for the outfits, Serena said, “I love pink and it was an opportunity to explore that in a big way. We played around in this collection with a lot of pinks.”

Serena’s love for pink was evident on a previous occasion as well. Remember how the supermom and her two adorable daughters wore matching pink outfits to a Taylor Swift concert? Serena wore a t-shirt with a playful caption. It read, “I Love Taylor (my daughter made me wear this)”

Kids’ collection aside, it’s amazing to see Serena having a good time with her little ones. After all, that’s what a mom always wishes for, right?Long may it continue for Serena!
