4 min read

The world of mixed martial arts will get to witness the action between Marvin Vettori and Roman Dolidze (again) at UFC Vegas 104. Well, this would be the second time for the two of them to clash against each other in the Octagon. Last time when ‘The Italian Dream’ battled the currently #12 ranked Georgian middleweight contender (at UFC 286), Vettori secured an impressive win via a unanimous decision. Needless to say, the bout, even though it didn’t end with a finish, greatly entertained the fighting community. And the same is expected from them at UFC Fight Night 254.

But the MMA world has been wondering about one thing. And that’s related to the fighters’ payouts. How much money will the contestants at UFC Vegas 104 receive for their fights? Let’s find out!

What is Marvin Vettori and Roman Dolidze’s salary?

UFC Fight Night 254 will mark the return of Vettori from a 20-month hiatus. His last fight against Jared Cannonier ended in a loss via a unanimous decision. But later on, when he was set to fight Brendan Allen, a freak injury pushed him out of action. And when he last fought Dolidze at UFC 286 and won, ‘The Italian Dream’ received a reported base salary of $350K. His total payout for the event was a whopping $711K. And before that, when he lost the bout against Israel Adesanya, he had the same amount in base pay. However, for UFC Vegas 41 in his fight against Paulo Costa, Vettori received a base salary of $150K. So we can expect him to receive $150,000 at UFC Vegas 104.

Roman Dolidze will come to the Octagon for UFC Vegas 104 with a record of 14 wins and 3 defeats. In his last bout, he rose victorious over Kevin Holland via a round 1 stoppage at UFC 307. And for the massive win, ‘The Caucasian’ received an amount of $220,000, and he is on a contract reportedly worth a $110K. Prior to that, Dolidze defeated Anthony Smith at UFC 303. He had a base salary of $70,000 for the fight, and got another $70K as win bonus. Coming to UFC Vegas 104, we can expect the Georgian middleweight to take home somewhere around $150K to $200K if he manages to win.

For the co-main event at UFC Fight Night 254, Chidi Njokuani will take on Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos. Of course, the fight between the two would be pretty interesting with Njokuani’s precision striking clashing with dos Santos’ unpredictable fighting style. But how much will they be earning at UFC Vegas 104?

Chidi Njokuani, & others’ salary

‘Bang Bang’ last fought Jared Gooden and defeated him via a unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 244. His purse for the fight was $85,000 and he got another $85K for securing the win. Njokuani thickened his wallet by $10K from brand sponsorships and an extra $24.2K UFC bonus. He took home an amount of $204.2K. We can expect him to earn a similar amount of money at UFC Fight Night 254, as well. On the other hand, dos Santos got a base pay of $200K for his last fight at UFC Fight Night 244. He got $100K in win bonus and $11K from the sponsors. Fighting Njokuani, we can expect ‘Capoeira’ to get $200K as his base salary.

Von Kurt Holobaugh will likely earn $30,000 for fighting Alexander Hernandez at the event. Meanwhile, ‘The Great Ape’ can be expected to earn somewhere around $200K as his base salary. Cody Gibson will likely earn around $70K for his fight against Da’Mon Blackshear. ‘The Monster’, for his fight against Mario Bautista, received a salary of $27K. Coming to the event on 15 March 2025, he can certainly earn more than $30K.

On top of that, the contestants have a high possibility of earning Fight of the Night, or Performance of the Night awards, worth $50K each. And with a victory, they significantly enhance their paycheck for UFC Vegas 104. What do you think of the fighters’ expected salaries for UFC Fight Night 254? Do you think that they deserve a bit more money than what they received in the past? Let us know what you think in the comments down below.
