Collin Morikawa Shares 3-Word Message as Runner-Up Curse Haunts Him After Bay Hill

“Winless,” is one way to describe Collin Morikawa’s 2024 season. After the nail-biting matchup between Scottie Scheffler and Morikawa at the Tour Championship. Despite having the rounds of 66-63-67-66, he fell four strokes short of the win. He was runner-up at the Memorial Tournament as well. However, with two runner-up finishes, the golfer has shared his frustration and aims to change it.

He seemed firm in his resolution for the 2025 season, but he again ended as runner-up at the Sentry. Even with his recent participation at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, after being on a stroke lead ahead of Russell Henley, the feat changed. On the 16th hole, Henley scored an eagle chip from the rough green, positioning him in the lead.

Morikawa, who has struggled to get to the title and feel short with the barest of margins, has now shared his frustration through social media. After his one-stroke loss, he wrote on Instagram, “No excuses. Never had any, but always a nice reminder. Honestly though, this one stings.”
