Vikings Announce Big Roster Update as Sam Darnold Predicted to Join NFC Side on a $40M Paycheck

2 min read

At the start of the offseason, the Minnesota Vikings were one of the top teams that had everyone’s attention. The reason’s pretty obvious. Sam Darnold’s contract extension and J.J. McCarthy’s role in his second season. However, Darnold is all set to hit the free agency now and McCarthy’s going to start…well, the McCarthy era in Minnesota.

BUT! Amidst Darnold’s potential departure from the Vikings, the team has agreed to terms on a deal with punter Ryan Wright. Yeah, you read that absolutely right. The Vikings shared the news on their official ‘X’ handle. “All Wright All Wright All Wright! The #Vikings have agreed to terms with @rjwright14_,” the team posted.

The Minnesota team signed Wright as an undrafted free agent back in the 2022 NFL draft. Now, Wright is all set to return for his fourth season with the team.

This is a developing story. Stay Tuned!
