The 10th Dustin Johnson World Golf Championship took place in Myrtle Beach on Friday. It brought together some of the world’s most talented junior golfers. Among the standout players were Tiger Woods’s son, Charlie Woods, and President Donald Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump. Fans flocked to the event, eager to catch a glimpse of the rising stars, with Charlie Woods drawing plenty of attention as the crowd’s favorite. The event, which featured 90 boys and girls, certainly lived up to the hype and drew significant attention.
Dennis Schulz, a volunteer at the event, shared his excitement, saying, “I think the big draw today is probably Charlie Woods, Tiger’s son, but there’s also a lot of other great golfers. Boys and girls, future pros. They can hit the ball a mile, so it’s fun to see.” In the end, it was Aarav Shah from Australia who claimed the victory. After holding the lead for the first 36 holes, he shot a solid 73 to secure the win, marking his first junior circuit victory for some time.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t Charlie Woods’s day, as things didn’t quite go as planned for him during the competition. Despite a strong comeback in round two, Charlie Woods fell short of making the cut with scores of 82-77. Kai Trump also missed the cut, posting rounds of 84-77. But Tiger Woods, being his biggest supporter, did not give up on trying to cheer him up.
On Tuesday, Tiger Woods had the final match at the TGL’s inaugural season against Atlanta Drive GC. Charlie Woods was there to support him. In the middle of the match, the 49-year-old made sure he went near the seats and checked on his son.
As he spotted the 16 YO eating chicken fingers, he asked for some mid-round snack. “Chicken Fingers? Give me one. Just throw me one,” he said. And, well, Charlie Woods passed on chicken fingers to his father. Finger lickin’ good, eh Tiger?

While Tiger Woods did try his best to cheer him up after the match, he failed to impart one thing to his son. Patience, which he clearly lacked during the match. Tiger pounces on other players during tournaments, and patience remains a key strength.
But his son Charlie must pass levels to become a top-class golfer.
