Prank Goes Wrong With Jon Jones After UFC Champ Issues a Threat as Fans Show Concern

If you’re even thinking about pranking Jon Jones, pause. Breathe. Reconsider. Or better yet, call up Steve-O for a quick reality check. The Jacka** legend once let Jones take a hammer to his ear. Yes, a literal hammer to create cauliflower ear. “Jon did it, Jon chopped it, just one piece,” Steve-O later recalled, probably wondering why he agreed to it in the first place. Moral of the story? Playing around with Bones might not be the wisest life choice.

So, naturally, when some prankster decided it’d be hilarious to shoulder-check Jones at a mall, you’d think common sense would kick in. It didn’t. Jones, ever the man of few but impactful words, hopped on Instagram and dropped a message that sent the internet into a frenzy. “Someone find this dude’s Instagram for me.” That’s it. No follow-up. No explanation. Just that. Was it a joke, a warning? a challenge? We’d never know.

So now, who is this guy and why does he have a death wish? Meet The Greatest Entertainer, a fitness influencer whose entire personality revolves around bumping into bodybuilders and strongmen to capture their reactions. He’s done it before, targeting the likes of Sam Sulek, Bradley Martyn, and even World’s Strongest Man winner Eddie Hall. His whole schtick? Testing boundaries.

It’s really hard for me to walk past people because my shoulders are so huge!” he once joked about his pranks. But did he expect the heavyweight kingpin to react the way he did? Because if your idea of a fun day is bumping into the most dangerous man in MMA history, you might want to reevaluate your life choices. Fortunately for this prankster, the internet was quick to play defense, rushing in to save him from what could have been a very bad day.

“This is a prank” — but will Jon Jones let it slide?

The internet wasted no time weighing in with fans offering a mix of humor and genuine concern. Some pointed out the usual targets of these pranks, “Usually it’s a shoulder check to bodybuilders. ” but this time, the prankster might have taken it too far. Others warned against copying the stunt, “This is a prank. These stunts are done by professionals. Don’t try this stunt.” Sound advice, because ‘professional’ or not, you will regret it.

For those familiar with The Greatest Entertainer, this wasn’t surprising, “True, I’ve been seeing him do these videos for about three years now.” But one fan couldn’t help but compare the legitimacy of the prank to a certain YouTube-boxer-turned-fighter, “More legit than Jake Paul’s fights!” Some thought Jones might have met his match in sheer size, “Jon Jones doesn’t realize that he was in the big guy’s way better watch out.” Yet most agreed that picking Jon Jones for this type of prank was risky. “I know it’s a set-up but for real, bumping into Jon or McGregor is risky business.” One fan even joked about Jones’ ongoing saga with Tom Aspinall,“Jones will fight him before Aspinall.”

As for Jones, he remains at the center of UFC’s heavyweight division, even if his next move isn’t crystal clear. And speaking of fights that aren’t happening, Tom Aspinall is still twiddling his thumbs, waiting for Jones to make a move. “There’s a lot of people out there who know me mainly for talking about Jon Jones, which is a shame,” Aspinall recently said, sounding very not frustrated. He also reminded the world, “I will retire Jon Jones without even fighting him.” Meanwhile,  UFC boss Dana White insists that Jones vs. Aspinall will happen in 2025. So, what’s the real lesson here? Don’t shoulder-check Jon Jones and expect to walk away unscathed? Or maybe it’s that waiting for Jones vs. Aspinall is a bigger gamble than this prank?
