Niners Fan Roman Reigns Throws 2 AFC North Teams Under the Bus as Browns and Steelers Go Through Turbulence

Roman Reigns is a die-hard 49ers fan. About five years ago, he attended a crucial 49ers game to uplift cancer survivors. The franchise also boasts a passionate fanbase. In a nod to Reigns’s loyalty, the team entered the 2024 season opener against the NY Jets to the WWE star’s theme song.

While players spend the off-season preparing for the next season, Reigns is making waves with his bold comments.

For him, only the 49ers matter in the NFL. Continuing his unwavering support, he took shots at two AFC North teams. On February 28, IGN posted a video of the wrestler reacting to fan-submitted memes. Out of all of them, one caught his attention. It depicted the Steelers keeping the Browns out of the playoffs. The meme, captioned “Acknowledge us,” portrayed Reigns as the Steelers and CM Punk as the Browns.

Needless to say, the WWE star wasn’t too pleased.

He blatantly bashed both teams and said, “This is like a playoff situation. The Steelers keeping the Browns out. But let’s just get one thing correct here: Cleveland sucks, Pittsburgh sucks, Niner gang (bang bang).” He also made a shooting gesture with his finger with aggression showing the love runs deep in his veins. He didn’t stop there.

He also gave a rating to the photo while adding, “It’s a four with Browns and Steelers irrelevant football teams it’s a four I’m the only thing keeping 2:44 this thing in a positive here.Roman Reigns shot two targets with one arrow. His rivals in the NFL and the WWE as well.

In the off-season, though, both teams are in pretty bad shape. They haven’t decided on their roster yet.

Browns and Steelers suffer turbulence in 2025 off-season

Out of the 4 teams in the AFC North, the Browns and Steelers are in the most competitive position. The Browns have received an open request from their defensive superstar, Myles Garrett. He has rejected the extension offer as well. But GM Andrew Berry has claimed that they want to keep him. There’s another issue.

Reigns did rightly say that the Browns do not compete at this moment. Their quarterback, Deshaun Watson, is hurting them deeply. He underwent a second surgery to repair his right Achilles tendon rupture. But will he return for the 2025 season? It’s still a mystery.

The Steelers are in a similar yet different kind of problem. They have Russell Wilson and Justin Fields. Moreover, head coach Mike Tomlin is confused about the situation. However, Roman Reigns needs to be aware of one thing. The Steelers are in a race to sign 49ers star Brandon Aiyuk.

The game is on. Fans are interested to see how their favorite teams are shaping up their rosters. 10 days remain in the free agency. The draft is also coming. It would be a treat to watch.
