So seriously that he made sure to get plenty of rest the night before. No late-night outings, no distractions. When you’re going up against one of the most relentless defenders in NBA history, you better come prepared.
Z-Bo wasn’t sugarcoating anything. On KG Certified, he straight-up told Garnett, “When I knew we played y’all, I knew to get my fuc-–g rest, bro, because I knew it’s going to be a night—it’s going to be a night of battle with you, man.” That’s the kind of respect you give to a dude who never took a playoff.
