Andy Reid Makes First Draft Move of the Season After Desperate Roster Message as Chiefs Announce Contract Update on 2 Key Players

2 min read

Alright, so the Chiefs are out here doing their draft homework, and guess who’s on their radar? Princely Umanmielen, the beast of a defensive end from Ole Miss. This dude is 6’4”, 264 lbs, and built to wreck offenses. He started at Florida, where he balled out in 2023 with 39 tackles, 12 TFLs, and 7 sacks, before transferring to Ole Miss to level up. Safe to say, he did just that. His mix of speed, power, and finesse has scouts locked in, and now the Chiefs are sniffing around.

Word on the street is that Umanmielen is looking like a late first-round pick, and honestly, the hype is real. He’s got the tools to be a menace off the edge, stuffing runs and harassing QBs like it’s his full-time job (which, soon, it will be). The Chiefs always stay stacking their defense, so this link-up makes total sense. Could we see him repping KC red next season? Stay tuned, ‘cause this man’s draft stock is rising fast.

UPDATE

The #Chiefs had a formal meeting with Mississippi DE Princely Umanmielen.
